By Lila Jhapali, Birtamod, Sept. 6: A 45-year-old female COVID-19 patient of Tappu, Kankai Municipality-3, Jhapa succumbed to the virus infection on Sunday afternoon.
She breathed her last at around 1:30 pm on Sunday while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan.
She had visited Anjali Hospital in Birtamode on August 31 after her stomach started to swell. She was then transferred to Dharan Ghopa Camp Hospital, where she tested positive for the virus.
Rajendra Kumar Pokharel, mayor of Kankai Municipality confirmed that she died at BPKIHS, Dharan.
