By TRN Online, Baitadi, June 19: Liladhar Bhatta, a resident of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-7, has been forced to observe mourning period of his father's death while staying in the quarantine despite his request to the concerned authority to send him for home quarantine so that he could perform the post-death rituals as per his faith.

Bhatta, who returned home from New Delhi of India, has been placed in quarantine set up at Bhumiraj Secondary School, Chadepani, for the last four days and his father died some six days ago. He was brought to Dogadakedar from Gaddachauki of Kanchanpur by the rural municipality.

Keshav Bhatta, a local, said that the rural municipality declined the request to send the mourner to his home to perform the post-death rituals.

Narendra Nath, chief of health section of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality, said that Liladhar Bhatta was kept in the quarantine as per the orders to place all India-returnees in the quarantine.

He said that Liladhar's swab was sent for testing and he would be sent home even before the 14-day quarantine period if the report came negative.

Earlier, Ram Singh Rawat, a resident of Melauli Municipality-7, had also spent his mourning period in the quarantine in the last week of May. (Translated from RSS Nepali news)
