Kohalpur, May 28 : District Administration Office, Banke, has issued a prohibitory order for the indefinite period in the district. The district security committee meeting held after the arrival of new Chief District Officer, Ram Bahadur Kurumbang, took this decision effective from Wednesday night.
The prohibitory order was issued in line with Section 6 (3) of Local Administration Act and Section 2 of Infectious Disease Act 2020, stated the press release issued by CDO Kurumbang.
A person lost life while more than 170 people got infected with coronavirus in the district so far. CDO Kurumbang argued that the prohibitory order was issued for conducting the prevention and control of the COVID-19.
However, the prohibitory order will not be implemented in case of necessary services as hotel, medicine shops, grocery, fruit and vegetable sale, hospital and health centres, transportation of construction materials, production of agricultural goods, supply of petroleum products, garbage collection and management, and distribution of drinking water.
