By Dipak Prasad Gautam, Parsa, Aug. 11: Member of the Parliament (MP) Pradeep Yadav has recovered from the infection of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 within 12 days since confirmation of the infection in him.

A member of the House of Representatives from Parsa-1, Pradeep Yadav, had tested positive for COVID-19 on July 31.

He was staying in isolation at his home in Birgunj and he tested negative for the virus in the PCR test report on Tuesday.

Parliamentarian Yadav had a cough on July 29 and fever the next day. And in the morning on July 31, he went to Narayani Hospital to get his swab collected for PCR test about the virus infection. Late in the evening on the same day, he got report that he tested positive for COVID-19 including his personal security officer and driver. PSO and the driver are yet to recover from the virus, according to Yadav.

Yadav said he defeated infection by having coconut water, citrus juice, hot water, garlic, turmeric, Gurjo (Menispermaceae), lemon water along with physical exercise on a regular basis.

"I strictly abided by the home isolation rules. I made paste mixing two spoonful of turmeric powder, 22 piece of garlic, black salt, black pepper, two piece of onion and a lemon and took it three times a day. In the beginning I took even 12 glasses of coconut water but later on I took 6 glasses a day," shared Yadav.

Yadav suggested all COVID-19 patients to follow isolation rules strictly, have high morale and do exercise daily along with adopting domestic treatment methods so as to recover from the disease in time.
