Surkhet, June 26 : The State Hospital Surkhet has shut its all services except emergency following confirmation of coronavirus infection among nine health workers including a doctor serving the hospital.
Issuing a press release on Thursday evening, the hospital informed that it had shut down all the services excluding emergency service.
Hospital's director Dr Dambar Khadka confirmed a specialist doctor along with other health workers tested positive for coronavirus while examining their swab samples through PCR procedure.
The infected health workers have been kept at isolation ward in Coronavirus Special Hospital under the State Hospital.
Meanwhile, a Dailekh-based youth who committed suicide has tested positive for the deadly virus. The PCR test of the 21-year-old youth from Dullu municiplaity-10, Chhuwala was carried out at the State Hospital laboratory.
The youth who returned from India was sent home after his RDT result came negative following his stay at quarantine for 14 days.
Dullu mayor Ghanashyam Bhandari said coordination was being made with the Nepal Army for the dead body management.
