Chitwan, July 22: Five bodies have been found in two big rivers of Chitwan district today. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, four bodies were found in Narayani river and one in Rapti river.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Surya Bahadur Thapa said that some bodies were found on the river bank while others were floating in the river.
The bodies of two unidentified persons of around 11-year-old girl and 55-year-old man were found at Thimura of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1. Both the bodies were found in decayed condition.
Similarly, body of Karna Bahadur Sunar, 40, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, was found at Jhanjhane of ward no 16. Sunar had gone missing from Tuesday.
Likewise, a body of around 50-year-old woman was found at the bank of Narayani river at Gaidachowk while a body of around 50-year-old man was found, which was swept away by Budhi Rapti river at Khairahani municipality, added Thapa.
Identities of four deceased have not been ascertained yet. The bodies have been brought to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.
