Damauli, Aug 29 : Efforts are being made to resume two-way traffic along the Anbukhaireni-Muglin road section of Tanahu. The road section was obstructed by dry mudslide since Friday morning.
One-way traffic resumed yesterday itself with the joint initiative of the Anbukhaireni rural municipality and Department of Roads. The incident took place near Ainapahara in ward no. 2 of the rural municipality.
A dozer is being used to clear the debris along the road and two-way traffic will take some time, said DSP at the District Police Office, Tanahu Yubaraj Timilsena. Huge rocks that have fallen on the road needs to removed.
The highway continues to remain affected at the site repeatedly this monsoon due to landslide. Furthermore, dry landslide has added to the problem.
The 72 kilometers stretch from Kotre to Mugling has witnessed the highest incidents of landslides this year.
