By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 9: The Ministry of Health and Population has confirmed two COVID-19 related deaths today.
Two persons, one male and female succumbed to COVID-19 on August 8, Saturday, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the regular press briefing today.
A 62-year-old male of Pokhara Metropolitan City-19, Kaski, who was infected with the virus died on Saturday night at 11:35 pm, said Dr. Gautam. He was suffering from Diabetes.
Likewise, a 20-year-old female of Birgunj Metropolitan City-2, Parsa, who was found to be COVID-19 positive died at 1:30 am on Saturday morning. She was admitted to Narayani COVID-19 Temporary Hospital, Gandak.
The COVID-19 death toll has now reached 75 and the national tally stands at 22,972 including 16,353 cases of recovery.
