By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 6: Infection of SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19 has as yet not spread at the community level in the Kathmandu Valley, according to a preliminary testing conducted by the Health Ministry.
As part of investigation to see whether the virus has spread in the community or not, swabs were collected from people residing at 10 different places in the Valley for testing. And all the swabs tested negative for the virus, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, at the daily press briefing today.
He said some 228 swabs were collected from places like Tinkune of Kathmandu and Nakhkhu of Lalitpur for the testing, which showed negative results for all.
