Mahendranagar, July 18: Infection rate of COVID-19 in Sudur Paschim Sate has dropped of late.
According to the State Health Directorate, a total of 327 were found infected on June 15 in each 9 districts of the State. The number reached 2,266 after two weeks and reached 3,753 after 10 days.
It shows that the ratio was on rise during the Asar (Mid June to mid July) month but has witnessed decline with the beginning of Saun month (Mid July).
Dr Gunaraj Awasthi, Director at the Directorate, shared that most of the infected were new entrants from neighbouring country India. He however claimed that the infection is not found transmitted in community.
COVID-19 contact person in Kailali district, Jaysingh Bhandari, shared that 890 persons are tested for COVID-19 positive till today in the district.
According to statistics at the Directorate, a total number of infected persons until July 17 was 3,801 and of them 1,085 had returned home after complete health recovery. Kailali district had the highest number of infected people- 890 infected people till today.
According to COVID-19 focal person at the State Narendra Karki, the ratio of infection is decreasing in the state. Though the state has 3,880 active cases, it did not record a single case on Friday. Of total 3,881 infected individuals, 1,668 have returned home after complete health recovery so far.
