Chitwan, Aug 25 : A coronavirus-infected person has run away from the isolation ward of Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.
The 19-year-old man of
Bharatpur metropolis-12 run away at 5.00 this morning, confirmed the District Police Office Chitwan.
According to the police, he was being treated at the isolation ward of Bharatpur Hospital after he was confirmed to have contracted the virus on 21 August.
He was arrested on charge of theft some days ago and also tested positive for the virus. After the confirmation he was handed over to the family members for treatment of the virus. Police have intensified the search for the man who went at large from the hospital. Currently the hospital is providing treatment to 68 coronavirus infected.
Meanwhile, the Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs Forum Chitwan has started a blood donation campaign by setting up mobile camps in settlements after blood shortage was reported in Chitwan.
The Forum collected 30 units blood on the first day, shared its member Arjun Ranabhat.
