Bhaktapur, Aug 30 : A person suffering COVID-19 and being treated at home-isolation in the district died on Saturday night. He died at his own house in Dhudhpati of Bhaktapur Municipality-1.
The 65-year-old man, who was also suffering the diabetic and high blood pressure, died suddenly, according to the District Health Office, Bhaktapur chief Krishna Bahadur Mijar.
Suspected to have contracted with COVID-19, a PCR test was conducted on him on August 27 which confirmed him contracting the flu-like infection. He had been kept in home-isolation after his family’s wish.
Ward chair Shyam Krishna Khatri shared that the deceased family insisted that he be kept at home under their direct care for the patient was unable to feed himself.
The Nepal Army is to manage the dead body today itself. Bhaktapur has recorded seven COVID-19 fatalities so far- four female and three male.
