By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 17: The meeting of the Council of Ministers is being held today at 5:30 PM to decide on the extension of the ongoing nationwide lockdown implemented to combat COVID-19.
It is expected the meeting will take decision on whether to change the lockdown modality or extend it.
The meeting will be held at the PM's official residence, Baluwatar, informed personal secretariat of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Ishwar Pokharel.
Prior to the meeting, a meeting of High Level Coordination Committee (HLCC) to prevent and control COVID-10 will be held at 2:30 PM in the afternoon at the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.
The HLCC would discuss about the lockdown modality.
The conclusion of the HLCC meeting would be presented at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, on the basis of which, modality and extenion of the ongoing lockdown will be decided.
The lockdown is scheduled to end tomorrow, May 18.
