By Nabaraj Kattel, Biratnagar, Aug. 8: As many as 22 persons including two journalists have tested positive for COVID-19 in Biratnagar Metropolitan City (BMC).
After two journalists working at Udgosh Daily of Biratnagar were found with the virus infection, swab samples of other workers of Udgosh daily have also been collected.
Likewise, four persons of BMC-2, three of BMC-7, two of BMC-6, four of BMC-13 and one each of BMC-3, 5, 8, 10, 11 and 14 were detected with SARS-CoV-2 infection.
As many as 33 persons had tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday afternoon. 22 more tested positive in Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test report revealed on Friday night, taking the COVID-19 case count of Biratnagar to 245, informed Ramesh Karki, Chief of BMC Health Division.
