By Shivashankar Mishra, Bara, Aug. 26: Bara has recorded two more COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, taking the district death toll to 15.
Two males aged 42 and 70 of Bishrampur Rural Municipality-1 and Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-1 succumbed to the virus infection, informed Rudra Prasad Pandit, Chief District Officer of Bara.
They were suffering from kidney disease, breathing difficulties, high blood pressure and thyroid. “After testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, they were shifted to the Gandak COVID-19 temporary hospital. Both of them died on Tuesday night itself,” said CDO Pandit.
Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasad Pangeni of Bara Police Office said that preparations were underway to dispose both the bodies.
