By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Aug. 23: As many as 46 COVID-19 patients in Banke were discharged on Sunday after recovering from the virus infection.
According to Naresh Shrestha, COVID-19 focal person of District Health Office, Banke, 41 police officials including the Police Chief of the Ward Police Office, Nepalgunj, their family members, four persons of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City and one of Kohalpur were discharged on Sunday after recovering from COVID-19.
They were receiving treatment in isolation centers set up at Nepalgunj Ward Police Office, City Palace Hotel, Gunapur Open Jail, Adarsanagar Isolation, Lion’s Dental Hospital, Bheri Hospital, Sushil Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital, Hotel Indreni and Chisapani Isolation.
Of the 821 active COVID-19 patients of Banke, 624 have been discharged after recovering from the infection, informed the Banke District Health Office.
Meanwhile, four persons including two females of the district have succumbed to the virus infection. The remaining 203 COVID-19 infected are receiving treatment in various isolation centers.
Considering the increasing cases of COVID-19, the prohibitory order, imposed for the second time, is being implemented strictly in Kohalpur.
Madhav Rijal, Spokesperson of Kohalpur Municipality, said that human movement had completely been halted from Saturday, with essential services being the exception.
