By Siraj Khan/ Govinda Sharma, Banke, May 17: Security measures with high alertness have been adopted in Dipendra Primary School's quarantine in Nairanapur, Banke, after a 25-year old youth died from COVID-19.
The youth who was quarantined in Nairanapur had fallen sick since Saturday night with high fever and vomiting. He breathed his last at 6:20 AM in the morning today.
The deceased's swab sample tested positive for the virus in PCR test done at Bheri Hospital, Nepalgunj, informed Dr Prakash Thapa, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital. His swab sample, along with 263 others' was collected on Saturday.
Prior to this, six persons staying at the same quarantine had tested positive for the virus.
The cremation of the deceased and his last rites would be performed in line with the guideline issued by the government.
The deceased had entered Nepal four days ago from India.
Additional army force has been deployed in Nairanapur to tighten the security system.
