By Saroj Dhungel, Kathmandu, July 7: All services except for the emergency have been halted at the Martyr Ganga Lal National Heart Center following detection of infection of the novel coronavirus in seven patients admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Dr. Basu Dev Panday, director at Epidemiology and Disease Control Division, confirmed that seven of the patients admitted to the Martyr Ganga Lal National Heart Center were found infected with SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19.
Administration of the Ganga Lal hospital has informed that all services except for emergency service are halted as precaution because some patients undergoing treatment in the hospital have been found infected with the novel coronavirus.
The hospital has not mentioned anything about when the services will be resumed.
