Surkhet, June 12 : The number of coronavirus infection cases in Karnali state has reached 763, with 55 new cases being confirmed on Thursday.
Among the new cases, 48 are from Dailekh, six from Surkhet and one from Budhanilkantha-2, Kathmandu, who is currently living in Chingaad rural municipality-5 Surkhet. The new cases were confirmed in test carried out at the Karnali Province Hospital and Animal Diseases Research Laboratory Surkhet, the Karnali Province Ministry of Social Development, Health Service Division chief , Dr Laxmi Narayan Tiwari, said.
According to Dr Tiwari, among the new 48 coronavirus infected cases found in Dailekh are 39 people including a six months old child and four women from Dungeshwor rural municipality and nine others from Badabhairab, Khor, Khagena, Ruma, Tumlung and Tursu in the district. Similarly, coronavirus has been confirmed in six people of Chingaad rural municipality of Surkhet district.
