By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 2: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed yet another COVID-19 death.
“A 68-year-old female of Birgunj Metropolitan City-16 died on August 1,” said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today. “She had tested positive for COVID-19 on July 31.”
After sensing difficulty in breathing, she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a Birgunj-based private hospital on July 29. After her health condition deteriorated, she was referred to the Narayani COVID-19 Temporary Hospital on August 1. She died while she was being taken to the Hospital.
She was also suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure.
With this, the COVID-19 death toll in Nepal has reached 57.
