By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Birgunj, Aug. 23: Parsa recorded yet another COVID-19 death.
A 56-year-old female of Shreepur, Birgunj Metropolitan City (BMC)-11 succumbed to the virus infection on Saturday evening at 7:30 PM, while receiving treatment at Birgunj Healthcare Temporary COVID-19 Hospital, informed the Parsa District Administration Office.
After having some difficulties in breathing, she was admitted to the Narayani Hospital and her swab sample was collected on August 6. She was found to be COVID-19 positve on August 8.
She was also suffering from hypothyroidism and high fever and was receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As her health condition deteriorated, she was kept in ventilator facility, said Bhumika Adhikari, an official of the Temporary COVID-19 Hospital.
With this, Parsa has recorded 36 COVID-19 related deaths until now. Some 32 deaths were recorded on the month of Shrawan itself.
