By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 28: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 53 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley today.
In 5,032 Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests performed in the last 24 hours, 53 persons tested positive for the virus in the Kathmandu Valley, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, in the daily press briefing today.
Of the infected, 48 are from Kathmandu, four are from Lalitpur and one is from Bhaktapur.
23 of the 48 COVID-19 infected are officials of the Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal.
Moreover, with 311 new cases confirmed across the nation, the COVID-19 case count has reached 19,063 including 13,875 cases of recovery and 49 death cases.
