By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Birgunj, Aug. 5: A 46-year-old COVID-19 patient of Birgunj Metropolitan City-15 who was under treatment in the isolation in Birgunj Health Care COVID-19 Temporary Hospital died on Wednesday.
The 46-year old virus patient breathed his last at 5:00 am in the morning, confirmed Dr. Madan Kumar Upadhyaya, medical superintendent of the Narayani Hospital.
The patient was also suffering from diabetes. He was admitted to the COVID-19 Temporary Hospital on Thursday night at 9:00 pm.
His swab sample was collected on August 2, Sunday, for Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test and he tested positive for the virus on Monday, August 3.
A 18-year old female of Pokhariya Municipality-8, Parsa, who died on Monday was also found to be COVID-19 positive in PCR test report on Tuesday. She was also suffering from dysentery. She died while being brought to National Medical College, Birgunj.
Parsa district has recorded 13 COVID-19 deaths from July 16 till now.
