By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug, 12: A 38-year-old female of Janakpurdham succumbed to COVID-19 while receiving treatment at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur.
She was admitted to the hospital on August 2. According to Dr. Bishnu Prasad Sharma, director of the hospital, she was suffering from ‘Minigro encephalitis’.
She died on August 11 while receiving treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.
She was referred to Patan Hospital from Alka Hospital on August 2. She had tested positive for the virus after being admitted to the hospital.
Prior to this, a social worker of Janakpurdham had succumbed to the virus infection while receiving treatment in Mediciti Hospital, Lalitpur.
