By Premraj Simkhada, Kalikot, July 13: As many as 38 COVID-19 patients have recovered from the virus infection in Kalikot today.
Of the total 55 COVID-19 patients of the district, 38 have recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 infection, informed the Kalikot Health Service Office.
The COVID-19 patients were discharged after testing negative for the virus in their second and third Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test, said Katak Bahadur Mahat, information officer of the health service office.
Mahat said that the discharged people were suggested to stay in home quarantine for 21 more days.
Most of the COVID-19 infected are from Sanni Triveni Rural Municipality of the district with 22 cases of the virus infection.
The remaining patients are receiving treatment in their respective local level. “As the infected people were asymptomatic, they have been kept in isolation in their respective local level on surveillance of the health workers,” said Mahat.
Meanwhile, all 14 COVID-19 patients of Shuvakalika Rural Municipality and nine of Mahawai Rural Municipality infection, one from Raskot Municipality and two from Khadachakra Municipality were discharged after recovering from the virus.
