Biratnagar, April 12 : Real time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test and Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) for Corona Virus has shown negative result in 282 people in State-1 so far. A total of 211 samples collected for testing were sent to the Koshi Zonal Hospital, Biratnagar and BP Koirala Institute of Health Science, Dharan from various parts of the State.
The results of the test of 22 more are awaited, according to the Corona Information Desk at the Office of the Chief Minister. Health workers have been mobilized to collect samples from people staying in the different quarantine centres in Morang, Jhapa and Udayapur districts.
As of Saturday, 592 people are quarantined while 10 remain in isolation in the State. Furthermore, 3,417 are in home quarantine. So far, 55 people have returned home from quarantine centres and 22 from isolation.
The testing will now been accelerated following the arrival of the RDT kits in the State, the Office of the Chief Minister has said.
