By Tara Chapagain Dube, Pokhara, Jul. 1: As many as 28 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Gandaki State on Wednesday, taking the state caseload to 994.
In the RT-PCR test conducted at Pokhara Tuberculosis Center and Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences, 28 were identified with COVID-19 infection.
Of the infected, 12 are from Nawalpur, three each from Baglung and Gorkha, eight from Syangja and one each are from Kaski and Tanahun.
The Gandaki State Health Directorate informed that all COVID-19 patients were being taken to isolation centers.
83-year old defeats COVID-19
Meanwhile, an 83-year old elderly of Mustang has recovered from the virus infection.
He had tested positive for the virus on June 20 and was receiving treatment in isolation center set up at Jomsom.
The State has recorded two COVID-19 deaths until now.
