27 new cases of COVID-19 detected in Banke, DAO to impose prohibitory order from Sunday

By Govinda Sharma, Banke, July 30: With the confirmation of 27 new cases of COVID-19 in the district on Thursday alone that indicated cases of virus infection in the district are on the rise again despite a huge success in the recent past to control it, Banke District Administration Office has decided to impose a 3-day prohibitory order beginning from Sunday.

Ram Bahadur Kurumbang, Chief District Officer of Banke, informed that the decision to impose prohibitory order across the district was taken following detection of community transmission of the novel coronavirus.

Crowds have increased in the market places with the lifting of the nationwide lockdown, said CDO Kurumbang, the order can be extended depending on the situation.

Banke DAO had started awareness campaign on importance of using mask and not roaming around in groups after the people began moving around aimlessly and without putting on facemask.
