By Abinash Chaudhary, Dhangadi, July 23: As many as 26 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kanchanpur in a single day today.
Out of total 258 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests performed at Seti Provincial Hospital in the last 24 hours, 26 persons were found with the virus infection. Of the infected, five are women and 21 are men.
In terms of the location of the infected, three females and 13 males are from Shuklaphata Municipality and eight are from Beldadi Municipality.
In Belari Municipality five tested positive for the virus out of which 2 are females, said Dilip Kumar Shrestha, communication officer of Seti Provincial Hospital.
The infection rate in Sudurpaschim State has not reduced yet.
Currently, there are more than 4,000 active cases in Sudurpaschim State.
