By TRN Online, Mangalbare, Aug. 6: As many as 16 officials of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, deployed in Ilam district have tested positive for COVID-19 in a single day today.
Out of 42 swab samples collected from APF personnel on Aug. 2 for the PCR test, 18 were found to have got infected with the virus.
Bimal Baral, Corona focal person of the Ilam District Health Office, informed that so far 46 APF personnel of this APF, Nepal, Barah Brigade No. 1 battalion have tested positive for COVID-19.
Two Nepali Army personnel and a police official have also tested positive for the virus while number of COVID-19 cases in Ilam district has reached 76. (translated from RSS Nepali news service)
