By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept. 2: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 12 COVID-19 related deaths.
Six females and six males succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.
Six females aged 55 and 18 of Chitwan, 89 of Kathmandu, 70 of Lalitpur, 20 of Tanahun and 60 of Kapilvastu and six males aged 97 of Bara, 65 of Chitwan, 40 of Bhaktapur, 70 and 75 of Kathmandu and 47 of Dhading, who had tested positive for COVID-19, died while receiving treatment at various health facilities across the nation.
The COVID-19 death toll in Nepal now stands at 251 and the death rate is 0.6 per cent.
