Kathmandu, July 21: A virtual art exhibition has kicked off here Monday. The art works prepared by artists from 14 countries are being displayed in the virtual exhibit organised to mark the 4th anniversary of International Water Colour Society Nepal.
The festival will last for 10 days. A total of 65 works of art created during the lockdown are included in the exhibit participated in by 28 foreign and 37 Nepali artists.
According to society chair N B Gurung, the society is regularly organizing different programmes and such virtual programme was organized this year due to adverse situation of pandemic.
He further shared that such programme strengthens mutual harmony and cultural exchanges among the participant nations.
Artists from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, America, China, Philippines, America, Iran, Indonesia and South Korea among others are attending the programme. International chair at the society Antanur Dogan while inaugurating the event believed that the event will help internationalize Nepal’s art and culture.
He also added that he was attracted by the beauty of Nepal and its art and culture during his first visit here and will again come to Nepal next year.
