Kathmandu, Oct. 1: The police have arrested a person who was on the run after attacking a sadhu at the local Pashupatinath area with a khukuri. Khukuri is the traditional Nepali cutting weapon.
The arrested person is identified as 37-year-old Tara Bahadur Lamichhane of Chitwan Jagatpur. He had attacked the sadhu named Santosh on the way to the Bishworupa of Pashupati in Kathmandu Metropolis-8. Lamichhane was arrested from Hepali Height of Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu today.
Police confiscated the khukuri used in the incident and a bag from him, spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range, Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Basnet, said.
