Kathmandu, July 21 : Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) scheduled for 11 am today has been postponed till 1 pm.
The meeting is being postponed time and again as discussions among top leaders is underway to find out consensus on internal dispute.
According to the Deputy-Chief of NCP Publicity and Publication Department, Surya Thapa, the meeting has been postponed till 1 pm.
The agendas of the standing committee meeting are coordination of party and government, power distribution, border security, citizenship bill, remaining task of party unification and approval of the American Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact.
Discussion is being held among Chairperson and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, another chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, senior leader Madhav kumar Nepal and other leaders in different phases.
The standing committee meeting had begun on June 24.
