Kathmandu, Nov. 2: Nepali Congress (NC) has called its central office-bearers’ meeting today to discuss on preparation of the upcoming 14th general convention and other contemporary political issues.
NC central office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel told RSS that the party’s office-bearers, former office-bearers and some central members would attend the meeting to take place at party central office Sanepa at 1.00 pm today.
He also said that the meeting would also dwell on a letter submitted to party President Sher Bahadur Deuba by senior leader Ramchandra Poudel led group on September 29 demanding free and fair environment for 14th general convention and party operation based on its statute.
The party’s central working committee meeting however has been called for coming November 6 to discuss preparation in connection with the upcoming 14th general convention of NC.
Though NC earlier had made public a schedule for its general convention to take place from 19-22 February 2021 the pre-set schedule has been already affected due to coronavirus infection.
