Kathmandu, July 21 : Nepali Congress president and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has said the party would always embrace the path of socialism propounded by party founding leader BP Koirala.
In his address to a programme organised here today to pay tributes to the late BP Koirala on his 38th memorial day, leader Deuba said the party would remain active to advance towards development, justice and equality by embracing the democratic socialism.
Also on the occasion, NC general secretary Dr Shashanka Koirala recalled that BP was aware that politics without moral would lead nowhere, adding that competency was the first requirement in politics.
Describing nationality and democracy as complementary concepts, he spoke on the need of further cultivating and promoting the BP's ideology for the interests of the nation and protection of democracy.
