Kathmandu, Feb. 26: After the success of the first season, the team of 'Comedy Champion' is preparing for the second season.
The show will be aired on Kantipur TV every Friday and Saturday from 9 pm to 10 pm from March 5.
The team of the show has formally informed about the second season of the show at a press conference organised in Kathmandu.
Speaking at the programme, director of the show Bishal Bhandari said that they faced financial problems in the first season but would not in the second season.
He said, “In the first season, we could not complete some things due to lack of funds. We won’t face such problem in the second season. That is why we are fulfilling many dreams this time.”
Dinesh DC of Kantipur TV said that he was excited about the collaboration with the comedy champion team.
He informed that the Kantipur TV had already signed for the show for over next five years.
More than 6,000 digital auditions were received from home and abroad for the 'Comedy Champion-2'.
Out of them, 180 contestants were called to Kathmandu for physical audition, and from them best 24 contestants have been selected, informed the organisers at the press meet.
Last year’s judges, including Santosh Pant, Manoj Gajurel, Pradip Bhattarai and Reecha Sharma will also be the judges for this season.
Actress Keki Adhikari, Bishal Bhandari, Reema Bishwakarma and Raj Ghimire are the producers of the show which will be hosted by Rima Bishwakarma.
Actress Keki Adhikari said that she was always under financial pressure in the first season, but this time she would not face that problem.
Director Bishal said, "This time, the audience will get more contents and presentations and we won’t let the audience to be bored.”
Host Bishwakarma said that the audiences were waiting for the Comedy Champion-2.
