Kathmandu, Apr. 25: Superstar Rajesh Hamal has expressed his worry about the lack of coordination and discussions among the powerful nations to cope up with the outbreak of COVID–19.
By posting a video on his social media account, actor Hamal has expressed his sadness that the World Health Organisation (WHO), which has to work meritoriously to solve the current crisis, has been blamed for not doing their job properly and even a powerful nation decided to withdraw its funding to the organisation.
Recently, President Donald Trump of the US formally announced that he would cut off the funding to the organisation accusing the latter of failing to perform its basic duty in response to coronavirus outbreak.
In the current crisis, powerful nations should not fight and quarrel, said Hamal.
He further said that it was painful that powerful countries like the United States and China could not stand together in times of crisis and didn’t interact with other nations.
“This is the time that the powerful nations collaborated with other nations and worked together to defeat the common enemy of humankind from the world, but it hasn’t been so,” he said.
At a time when the world is in crisis, powerful countries should forget the political enmity and should unite to solve the common problem, said the actor.
Although the good thing is that so far only a few cases have been seen in Nepal, there are still many challenges out there, said Hamal.
The Novel Coronavirus that first broke out in Wuhan, China, at the end of 2019 has now spread across the world affecting millions of people and killing thousands. But still no remedy and medication have been discovered against this pandemic.
“It is time to put aside the existing problems of the world and unite to fight against the common problems and create a normal world again, the popular actor of Nepali filmdom added.
