By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Apr. 21: A 90-year-old male succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in Banke on Wednesday while receiving treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College, Kohalpur.
"The deceased was a resident of Kohalpur-11. He was admitted to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19 on April 19. As his health condition further deteriorated, he was provided with the ventilator facility," informed Tej Oli, focal person of District COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee, Banke.
According to the hospital, the elderly breathed his last at 7:00 am on Wednesday morning.
With this, Banke's COVID-19 death toll has reached 66.
