By Deepak Prasad Gautam, Birgunj, Apr. 21: A 42-year-old male of Malangawa, Sarlahi, who was admitted to Narayani Hospital, Birgunj after testing positive for COVID-19, died on Wednesday morning at 10:00 pm.
According to Dr. Saroj Roshan Das, Coordinator of Narayani Hospital, he had tested positive for COVID-19 in an antigen test done on Tuesday. "He was also diagnosed with severe pneumonia," said Dr. Das.
According to Dr. Das, a total of 32 COVID-19 patients are currently under treatment in various hospitals of Birgunj of which, 10 are admitted to the ICU.
After the beginning of the second-wave, five patients have succumbed to COVID-19 in Narayani Hospital. Similarly, Narayani Vayodha Hospital has recorded two virus-related fatalities until now.
