Nepalgunj, Jan. 20: Nepalgunj Neuro, Trauma and Multispecialty Centre, the first neuro hospital of western Nepal, has come into operation in Nepalgunj since Monday.
With the establishment of the hospital, patients now need not go to Indian cities and the federal capital, Kathmandu, to receive neurological treatment.

Earlier, people from western Nepal, including Banke and Bardiya, had to go to Lucknow, New Delhi or Kathmandu for neurological treatment. But now they are free from this burden.
The hospital has come into operation under the leadership of senior Neurosurgeon Dr. Joshan Neupane.
According to Dr. Neupane, the hospital will treat all brain, neurological and spinal disorders.

He further said, “It is the first hospital in entire western Nepal to provide specialised treatment for neurological disorders.”
Now the people of western Nepal are free from the burden to visit India and Kathmandu for general neurological problems, said Dr. Neupane, adding, “The hospital will gradually operate all kinds of treatment for brain, neurological and spinal disorders.”

Apart from the neurological treatment, the hospital would also provide general services, skin diseases and orthopaedic services, he added.
Along with Dr. Neupane, a team of physicians including Dr. Shankar KC, Dermatologist Dr. Anisha Upreti and Orthopaedic Specialist Dr. Basanta Sapkota will provide service in the hospital.
In the last two years, a number of specialised hospitals have come into operation in Nepalgunj.
