By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 1: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has claimed that his party is prepared to win the election by competing single by single.
Chair Oli said so at a press meet held here today.
He challenged the other political parties to see the results of the local and other upcoming elections.
The UML Chair issued the challenge at a time when the parties in the ruling alliance are working out to compete in the election as an alliance.
"It does not matter how many parties, five or more, make an alliance to compete with the UML, we are ready to compete with them and win the election at any levels," said the Chairman of the main opposition party.
He said the UML was against an unnatural way of going ahead and blamed the government and the ruling alliance for the artificial way.
"This is not a government as per the people's mandate, but the verdict of the court," he said, "The UML is against to move ahead artificially by rejecting the need to go for people's fresh mandate".
He argued it was unacceptable in the parliamentary system to keep the parties devoid of discipline the parliament. Hinting at the CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', he blamed him for failing to accept democracy wholeheartedly. He also claimed that unconstitutional activities were going on while there was a need for safeguarding the constitution.
