By Belina Thapa, Lamjung, June 15: Flooding caused by incessant rainfall has inundated Taalgaun of Manang district.

The Taalgaun area which falls under Naso Rural Municipality-1 got inundated due to the continuous rainfall from Sunday.

Minrashi Gurung, a local, said that 10 houses had already been submerged in flood water near Marsyangdi River. Similarly, other houses around the area are also in danger of flooding.

"The entire settlement in Taalgaun is about to get inundated. I along with other locals have reached Myardi on foot in search of a safe place. Other villagers are also panicking as they can be swept away by the flood any time if they are not resettled in a safe place," said Gurung, adding that despite their multiple efforts, they could not contact the Police due to network issue.
