Kathmandu, Sept. 17: Less than a month since it began flying the Nepali skies, SriLankan Airlines has added two more flights to its Kathmandu-Colombo route.
The airlines, which is Sri Lanka’s national flag carrier, began operating two direct flights a week between the capitals of Nepal and Sri Lanka from August 31. Now, from September 27, it plans to increase that number to four.
According to SriLankan Airlines, the number of weekly flights was increased to cater to the increasing number of passengers flying between the two countries. The four flights have been tentatively scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flights will operate between Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu and Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Colombo.
