Lamjung, March 21 : Six people have died when a truck fell into the Marsyangdi river in Khotro of Naso rural municipality, on the Besisahar-Chom road. The incident involving the truck (Dha1Kha592) took place on Saturday, according to District Police Office, Lamjung.
The deceased have been identified as Manisha Gurung,35, Jalkashi Gurung,36, and seven-year-old Liun Gurung of Naso rural municipality-4, police inspector Om Prakash Pun said. They died on the spot.
Likewise, Dhanman BK,28, of Chame rural municipality-4, Laxman Nepali,21, of Marsyangdi rural municipality-5, died during treatment at District hospital, Lamjung on Saturday night. And among three persons sent to Chitwan for treatment, three-year-old Thiyon Gurung died.
Seriously injured, truck driver Suman Tamang,24, of Bhanu municipality-3, Tanahu and seven-year-old Mel Gurung of Naso rural municipality-3 are undergoing treatment in Chitwan.
Eight persons were travelling in the truck.
