Kathmandu, June 5: Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Forum on People-to-People Friendship, held in Wuhan city, Hubei province of China on Thursday, called for forwarding the “Shanghai Spirit”, deepening solidarity and collaboration, and maintaining peace and stability in the countries of the region.
“The Forum speaks highly of the non-governmental organisations of SCO countries for their solidarity and mutual assistance in the fight against COVID-19, and underlines that only through solidarity and cooperation can the international community overcome the global challenges such as COVID-19 and safeguard the common home of mankind,” said a press statement issued by the Forum.
Nepal is the dialogue partner of the SOC, which covers 18 countries and a population of over 3 billion.
