Tanahun, June 20 : The Tanahun Hydro Project which is under construction at Jhaputar of Rishing Rural Municipality has provided Rs 260 million to the Division Forest Office.
The amount was supported to establish sampling nursery as about 417 hectors of forest land in the region would be inundated and some 181,000 trees cut down while constructing the hydro project there.
It is stated that the new samplings would be produced 25 times more that the fallen trees.
Of the total amount to be provided by the project, Rs 20 million has been utilized for the preliminary tasks to develop the nursery.
