By Dhirendra Prasad Sah/Dharbendra Jha, Janakpurdham, Oct 6: Chief Minister of Province 2 Lalbabu Raut has secured a vote of confidence of the provincial assembly today.
CM Raut got the vote of confidence with over a two-thirds majority as 77 provincial lawmakers voted in his favour whereas 23 voted against.
Out of 104 members in total, 100 lawmakers were present in today's meeting.
CM Raut was supported by Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) whereas lawmakers from CPN (UML) and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party had stood against him in the voting.
