Biratnagar, June 28: The 14th meeting of the Province 1 budget session has been postponed after protest from the Province Assembly members belonging to the CPN (Maoist Centre). Disgruntled Maoist Centre members stood from their respective seats in protest shortly after the meeting convened.
After the session obstruction, attending Province Assembly member Raj Kumar Rai demanded Minister Ambir Babu Gurung beg apology for his immoral and irresponsible statement. He threatened to obstruct the session until the minister came up with apology.
“Budget should be brought through consultations in the parliament,” he said. The Province Assembly will meet on Tuesday.
