Ranjha, Aug 18 : A person died of coronavirus infection in Banke last night. A 62-year-old man of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis-5 who was admitted to the Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj after complaining of pneumonia died last night, shared resource person of District Health Office, Banke, Naresh Shrestha.
The old man died at around 11.40 last night in course of the treatment, Shrestha said. He was admitted to the Teaching Hospital on 16 August after he grew the symptoms of coronavirus infection since 14 August. He was tested positive for the virus on Monday afternoon.
According to Chief Administration Officer Ram Bahadur Kurumwang, preparation for the management of dead body was underway in coordination with the family members and the Nepal Army. With this, the death toll from the coronavirus infection has reached four in Banke alone.
